One of the biggest issues of an old closet would be the lack of space. As years go by, a person can have too many clothing that an old storage space can handle, thus resulting to clutter. However, renovating this space is not a problem. Here are a few suggestions on how to make such a task easy as a breeze.
Start from scratch - You need to start with a clean slate if you want to be able to effectively spruce up your old furniture, as this will allow you to get rid of all the shirts, jeans, and shoes that you do not use anymore. In addition, sort out all the items you find in your cabinet and separate the ones that need to be thrown into the bin and those that only need repair. Fix whatever is broken - Repair or replace hooks, shelves, and racks that have aged with time. Use alternative storage containers like hampers and bins to keep some of your belongings. You can fold your tees and shorts and place them inside the boxes to keep them protected from dust and dirt. To give your wardrobe a new look, repaint or use new wallpaper - Choose the colours and designs that will reflect your own style. In addition, install a new door to the furniture to add a fresh look to your bedroom. However, be sure to choose one that complements the theme of the room.
To make sure that your closet stays as organised as can be, you can place motivational quotes on the door. This will remind you to make it a point to declutter your home.
